Audience Q&A and live polling.
Questions for the speaker, live polls, voting, and reactions. One short code for attendees, one dashboard for the moderator, one CSV report after the event. Runs on our own econf.ai platform, integrated with the stream and registration.
Three audience engagement modes
1. Questions for the speaker
An attendee joins via short code or link and types a question. You can allow anonymous questions or require a name. Other attendees upvote the best questions, so the moderator can see what the audience actually wants answered.
2. Live polls
The moderator launches a poll with a few answer options. Results update live on screen as votes come in. Useful for training comprehension checks, in-room decisions, or sponsor engagement metrics.
3. Reactions
Emoji reactions (👏 ❤️ 😂 🤯) floating across the stream window. Practical value is small, but for hybrid events the energy matters, especially when the speaker can only see online viewers.
What to expect on event day
- Attendee join: short code or QR for the whole event. No passwords, no separate apps. Works on mobile and desktop.
- Moderation modes: open (questions appear instantly), pre-approved (moderator approves before publishing), or moderator-only (questions only visible in the dashboard).
- Speaker screen: top-rated questions appear on a screen in the room or a second screen next to the speaker. The speaker can see what the audience actually wants to discuss.
- After the event: a CSV report with all questions, polls, and the attendee list. Useful for sponsor reporting, training admin, or internal post-event review.
When it fits, when it does not
Good fit
- Conference or training where audience engagement matters, not just passive listening.
- Hybrid event where online attendees deserve the same Q&A access as those in the room.
- Sponsored event where you need an audience-engagement report.
- Training programme with knowledge-check polls during sessions.
- Topic where anonymity matters (complaints, sensitive questions, internal company discussion).
Not a fit
- Small meeting where questions are asked out loud.
- Event with no moderator to follow the question stream.
- Traditional lecture format where Q&A was not planned.
What is included with ProConf
- Q&A platform, with short code, voting, and moderation.
- Live polls, with on-screen graphical results.
- Reactions, emoji stream over the broadcast.
- Speaker screen, question list driving the discussion.
- CSV report after the event, all questions, polls, and the attendee list.
- Multiple stages at once, each stage has its own Q&A stream when the event has parallel sessions.
Pricing
Q&A and polling are part of the event package. Filming, streaming, and econf.ai platform services (registration, ticketing, AI translation, Q&A) start from:
from €1,200 excl. VAT
The final price depends on attendee volume, stage count, and the rest of the event scope. A standalone Q&A rate (for integrating into another team's AV setup) will be published with the pricing calculator in the coming months.
Frequently asked
How do attendees join Q&A?
At the start of the event, a short code or QR is announced. The attendee opens the link on their phone, enters the code, and can immediately ask a question or vote. No passwords, no registration, no separate app.
Can questions be anonymous?
Yes. In the event settings you can allow anonymous questions, require a name, or set anonymity rules per segment (e.g. attendees can be anonymous, speakers cannot).
How do we moderate questions?
Three modes: open (all questions visible immediately), pre-approved (moderator approves before publishing to the audience), moderator-only (questions only visible in the dashboard, moderator picks which to relay verbally to the speaker). The mode can be changed during the event.
How is this different from Slido?
Slido is a great product with a global team if all you need is the Q&A module. ProConf bundles Q&A as part of the full event package: one team for the room, one platform for streaming, registration, and Q&A, one VAT invoice under Lithuanian tax rules. If your event is run by a small organising team that does not want five different apps and five different subscriptions, we are the simpler answer.
Can I run a live poll in real time?
Yes. The moderator prepares a question and answer options in the dashboard, hits "Launch", and the poll appears on every attendee screen at once. Results update live and display as a bar chart.
Are reactions distracting in the broadcast?
Reactions are subtle: they fly along the side of the stream window, not over the speaker. They can be turned off entirely if the format does not support them (academic conference, official ceremony). For hybrid training and product launches they add useful energy.
What do we get after the event?
A CSV file with all questions (who asked, when, vote count, whether published), all polls and their results, and the attendee list with join times. Useful for internal review and sponsor reporting alike.
How many attendees can it support at once?
Practically unlimited at event scale. Thousands of attendees can vote in a live poll and see results on screen within a second. If you expect very high volume (5,000+), let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
How much does it cost?
Q&A and polling are part of the event package. Filming, streaming, and econf.ai platform services start from 1,200 EUR excl. VAT. A standalone Q&A rate will be published with the pricing calculator in the coming months.
Talk through your event.
Send us the event description, the attendee count, and the kind of Q&A format you need (anonymous or not, moderated or open). We will include audience modules in the quote with concrete numbers.
